SILICON
RUBBERS FOR CENTRIFUGAL CASTING AND JEWELRY
|
|
Nicem's
story started back in 1972 in Senago when the company started
producing the first centrifugal casting machines for alloys with
a low melting point (spin casting).
Starting
from 1980 Nicem has focused first on research, then on the
formulation and production of silicon mixtures using the most
modern laboratory technologies.
Today
Nicem SpA is able to offer a wide range of silicon rubbers for
all centrifugal casting needs.
|
|
The
quality of our products is guaranteed by a severe control of raw
materials and of products during all production stages.
Our
database enables us to track all the mixtures produced in the
plant of Senago.
Nicem
is able to offer several types of silicon rubbers for all needs.
The two attached tables respectively provide information on the
types of silicon rubbers recommended for spin casting and for
lost-wax molding or micro-casting.

SILICON
RUBBERS FOR SPIN CASTING
|
|
Nicem
SpA offers a wide range of silicon rubbers to meet all possible
spin casting requirements. The range comprises several types of
silicon rubbers suitable for most varying applications. The
descriptive table attached provides information on the main
types of silicon rubbers that can be used to spin cast metal
alloys with a low melting point (Zn+Al+Mg, tin and eutectic
alloys). |
Nicem
SpA enables customer to benefit from its wide-ranging experience
through training courses. Courses on the preparation of moulds,
vulcanization and the recommended techniques to cast alloys with
a low melting point can be organized both in the site of Senago
and in customers' premises.
|
COMPLEMENTARY
MATERIALS
|
|
Nicem
SpA also offers a wide range of accessory products like
"talcum" and liquid release agents.
Talcum
is used to facilitate the release of moulds after rubber has
been vulcanized,
but can also be employed to improve the circulation of liquid
metal inside the mould during casting.
The
liquid release agent can be used for moulds in resin, plastic,
wood, metal and other materials in order to protect rubber from
potential contamination during vulcanization.
