J -Z and J-ZP - Induction Vacuum Casting Machine

A HIGH PERFORMANCE CASTING MACHINE YOU CAN AFFORD

Here is the induction casting machine you have been waiting for! The NEUTEC J-Z is a low cost, high performance casting system designed to help you meet your competition head on. No other machine is this price range comes close for the rugged durability, low operating cost, and high quality castings the NEUTEC J-Z produce. In fact, this machine outperforms casting machines costing much more! While the J-Z is more sophisticated, with more great features than any of it's competitors, it is engineered to be the easiest to operate and maintain of any machine in it's class.

The J-Z employs the proven principles of closed-system casting, providing an oxygen-free atmosphere for the metal during meltingand pouring to help eliminate oxidation. the large-volume graphic crucible also removes oxygen that may previously have been dissolved in the metal. The means fewer defects and lower reject rates.

Keeping the metal oxide-free is one of the equation for successful casting - another is accurate control of the temperature. The measures the metal temperature in the centre of the metal pool, giving you the accurate control of casting temperatures. the crucible in the J-Z is a bottom-pour design so there is very little drop in metal temperature from crucible to flask. This allows you to cast at the optimum temperature for any design without overheating the metal.

NEUTEC J-Z : THE ESSENTIAL CASTING MACHINE

NEUTEC has taken it's induction casting technology to new heights with the introduction of the NEUTEC J-Z. The J-Z is a tabletop induction caster with many of thethe features found in the larger J-5, J-10b, and J-15 models. Designed for the small-medium sized shop, the J-Z offers the excellence that has made NEUTEC the world leader in casting technology.

FAST CYCLE TIMES AND SIMPLE OPERATION

NEUTEC ADVANCED DYNAMIC COMPUTER (ADC) technology takes the guesswork out of casting. The machine's DYNAMIC VARIABLE COMPENSATIONautomatically produces the fastest and most efficient melting program for any alloy and any size load - all without operator intervention. Casting cycles average about 4 minutes, or 15 flasks per hour.

ADC technology produces the most consistent casting cycles of any machine on the market today so you can be assured of great results time after time. Learning to use the J-Z takes about 15 minutes - nothing is easier than casting with a NEUTEC.

LOW REJECT RATES

Porosity and other defects caused by oxidation are virtually eliminated. A closed-system nitrogen or argon atmosphere keeps oxygen away from the hot metal, and the NEUTEC graphite crucible scavenges any oxygen dissolved in the metal. The benefits of this are clearly evident in the quality of the castings. NEUTEC high quality castings mean far fewer rejects for lower labour and material reprocessing costs.

NO OVER-KARATING

ADC control provides NEUTEC POWER STIRRING technology to keep alloy ingredients from separating once the metal is molton. Power Stirring technology TM works right up to the pour so you never have to over-karat to get required karat values throughout the tree.

STONE-IN-WAX CASTING

The accuracy of the ADC temperature control has proven successful for stone-in-casting, becuase it allows you to cast at the lowest possible metal temperatures, reducing thermal shock to the stones. Besides diamonds, CZs, sapphires, and rubies, a whole new group of stones is being successfully cast with NEUTEC machines - Gilson created opals, lab-grown emeralds, and many other stones that were once considered impossible to use with this timesaving technique.

PRESSURE-VACUUM IMPROVES FILL and DETAIL

NEUTEC has conducted extensive research into pressure technology and how best to implement it. The NEUTEC DYNAMIC PRESSURE SYSTEM developed for the J-Z P is a sophisticated two-stage system that increases fill rate at lower casting temperatures and improves surface detail so yoy have fewer rejects and easier finishing. You will be amazed at how well this system fills small details like prongs and the small letters found on school rings.

NEUSPRUE

Couple the benefits of NEUTEC casting machines with the revolutionary NEUSPRUE sprue and sprue base assembly to get the best-quality castings possible. The patented NEUSPRUE, system solves age-old casting problems caused by old sprue and base system we have all used for years. Read more about Neusprue. Contact us at ROBOTECH DEVELOPMENTS / HEWITT, for more details.

BUILT IN VACUUM PUMP

The NEUTEC J-Z includes a standard 7 cfm vacuum pump built into the cabinet. This vacuum pump is a direct drive (no belts to wear out), oil vane type pump configured to make periodic maintenance easy. Or, you can upgrade to a Busch vacuum pump when you place your order.

GRAIN MAKING ACCESSORY INCLUDED

With the J-Z grain making accessory, you can stock fine gold and master alloy and mix the karat anc coluur you need when you need it. This means you save money and increase service to your customers. Research shows that casting quality improves when only grain is used. The ability to recycle sprues by converting them to casting grain, saves you money and improves the quality of your castings.

NEUTEC knows how important it is to take a system approach to casting; grain-making in a controlled atmosphere is important part of that system. And because grain-making is so vital to successful casting, we include the grain making accessory as standard equipment with the J-Z. Contact us at ROBOTECH DEVELOPMENTS / HEWITT, for more details of re-cycling sprues in NEUTEC's patented AUTO VALVE crucible.

    LARGE CRUCIBLES

The 184cc graphite crucible is a surprisingly large crucible for a machine in the J-Z's class.

You can alloy 2.7 kg of of 18K in a single batch and you can cast up to 1,6 kg at a time. And don't worry about being able to cast small amounts, too. ADC melt control provides the same precision on 100 grams as it does on 1500 grams - automatically.

FLASK CAPACITY, WHEN YOU NEED IT

The first thing NEUTEC did at the start of the J-Z design project was interview jewellery casters to find out what they need. Most of the casters originally said they needed a maximum flask size somewhat smaller than the J-Z 5" diameter by 9" height. But NEUTEC also heard about missed job opportunites and the desire to cast small sculptures. In other words, you wanted a larger crucible and flask capacity - if it did not cost more. NEUTEC engineers took this as a challenge. Now you can have big machine capacity, together with a practical, reasonably-priced machine for everyday work. Why not have it your way?

INERT GAS SYSTEM

All you need is a bottle of inert gas available from your local gas supplier or welding supply house. NEUTEC can supply the correct gas regulator and the hose. We recommend that you use pure nitrogen gas in the J-Z. If you prefer, you can use argon gas - the same regulator will work with either gas. We would be glad to talk to you about the pros and cons of bothgases. By the way, if you look at the machine you can see two gas flow meters to the left of the control panel. The crucible chamber gas and the flask chamber gas are controlled separaetely just as they are on our larger machines. This system makes the J-Z more flexible and less expensive to run. You get truly big machine performance at a small machine price.

18 - TURN INDUCTION COIL

Look at the coils in competitors indusction casting machines. You'll see less than half the number of turns that NEUTEC gave the J-Z's coil. you can't see our coil it - it is encased in a heat-resistant, dialectric ceramic material. This keeps you safe from electrical shock and makes the coil extremely reliable. What you can see, though, isthe superior stirring that an 18-turn coil provides for your metal before you cast.

NO COMPRESSED AIR REQUIRED

Another thing NEUTEC learned from the interviews is that many shops have limited capacity to supply compressed air; so we designed the J-Z to work without an air compressor.

SINGLE PHASE ELECTRICITY

Everyone said they has single-phse electricity in their shop or studio, so NEUTEC engineered the J-Z to work on this. In fact, the J-Z is designed to work almost anywhere in the world, adjusting automatically for voltage between 220V and 240V. Just tell your electrician to install a 45 amp. high-inrush circuit breaker (the kind commonly used for motors) and you're ready to go!

WATER COOLING SYSTEM

All induction casting machines need cooling water. With the J-Z, you have two choices. You can connect the J-Z to your water line and let the water run through the machine to a drain; or you can purchase our closed circuit-loop system that reuses water. Conveniently, the J-Z fits on top of the J-Z Water Cooler/Stand to preserve space and put the J-Z at just the right working height. If you don't want a closed-loop water cooling system but still want a J-Z at a convenient height, no problem. We offer the J-Z stand, a cabinet with extra storage space instead of the water cooler.

The J-Z is an exceptional machine combining advanced technology with a practical design to give you the casting capability you need to now. The heavy-duty construction, with the best components available, offers outstanding reliability. As a NEUTEC owner, you can depend on superb technical support and quick deliveries of consumables to almost anywhere in the UK.
